The small industrial zone, situated in the mahallas of Beshqurgon and Tirsakobod, covering an area of 320 hectares, was established by Presidential Resolution of July 3, 2023. In accordance with this document, the transport, engineering, communications, and road infrastructure have been improved, creating favorable conditions for the development of industry and entrepreneurship.
The area now hosts energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production facilities. To date, the number of such enterprises has reached 531, with nearly 20,000 jobs created. The annual production potential stands at 6.8 trillion UZS. This year, 50 enterprises plan to export products worth $180 million – a level of achievement never before seen in Chilanzar.
The Head of State visited the Tarleplast enterprise and became familiar with the production process.
The total value of the project amounts to $25 million. The enterprise is equipped with 12 types of modern machinery from leading European manufacturers, enabling the production of 90,000 tons of steel pipes and metal profiles annually. The value of the products reaches 900 billion UZS. Around 120 permanent jobs have been created at the facility.
The distinctive feature of the products lies in the pipes’ ability to withstand high pressure and external impacts, as well as their competitiveness in both range and price. This is evidenced by last year’s export volume of $4 million to Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Further expansion of export markets is planned.
The President also viewed an exhibition of products manufactured in this industrial zone and became familiar with a presentation on promising industrial projects.
In particular, plans include the construction of a multi-story production facility and the establishment of a mono-center. As a result, an additional 100 new projects will be implemented in the industrial zone, creating 3,000 more jobs. The projects will cover areas such as construction, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, printing, automotive production, textile and knitwear manufacturing, and confectionery production.
The Head of State engaged in discussions with entrepreneurs and provided recommendations on producing high-value-added products, creating new jobs, and developing the service sector.
