The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, stated that this decision was made considering the deep historical and cultural ties, the current high level of strategic partnership, and as a sign of friendship and mutual respect between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Italy.
A street in Samarkand named in honor of the city of Rome
Following the high-level Uzbekistan - Italy negotiations at the International Congress Center, a solemn ceremony was held to name one of the streets in Samarkand after the city of Rome.
