Shavkat Mirziyoyev: My most important goal is for my people to be satisfied and happy

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Juzimbog” mahalla in Kegeyli district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

About 4,300 people live here. They are permanently employed in three schools, six kindergartens, and over seventy business entities.

In this district, which specializes in livestock farming and agriculture, there are household plots of 990 families. Based on Saykhunabad’s experience, local opportunities are used. In particular, 174 citizens were allocated more than 128 hectares of land for long-term farming. They are engaged in agriculture and receive additional income. The number of families creating greenhouses and harvesting twice a year is growing.

In the mahalla, the Orol Agro enterprise organized a youth vineyard. Forty young people received an average of 25 acres of land here.

The vineyard, grown using the “voish” method, also skillfully uses the inter-rows. Various vegetables are grown, and up to 400 tons of products are obtained. When the yield reaches its total capacity, it will receive about 200 tons of grapes annually for 4 billion UZS.

The Head of state talked to young people engaged in agriculture.

They noted that they used the opportunities of recent years, received land, growing melons and greens, and receiving income. They talked about their plans and aspirations.

“I am pleased you have work and are confident in the future. My most important goal is for my people to be satisfied and happy. What we are doing is right, but we must scale this work up”, the President said.

Having heard the youth’s proposals, the President gave instructions on the construction of a cold storage warehouse for agricultural products, assistance to needy young people in organizing weddings, and payment for training contracts.
