The current issues of further strengthening Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership were discussed.

Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The main attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming events at the highest level, as well as the promotion of economic cooperation projects and programs of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The regional agenda was considered in the context of the situation in Afghanistan and the preparation of the forthcoming Consultative Meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries in Turkmenistan in early August.
