Snowfall in the Ferghana Valley: a number of flights have been redirected to alternate airfields

Due to adverse weather conditions (heavy snowfall) in the Ferghana Valley, several international flights were unable to land at their destinations and were diverted to alternate airfields, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported.

On the night of the current day, the following flights were affected by schedule changes:

Irkutsk — Andijan (S7 Airlines flight S76311): the crew decided to proceed to Osh airport, landing was completed at 00:01 local time.

Jeddah — Namangan (Air Samarkand, flight 9S5010): redirected to Samarkand, landed at 00:27.

Yekaterinburg — Namangan (Ural Airlines flight U62963): also landed in Samarkand at 00:40.

Samara — Namangan (Uzbekistan Airways flight HY9806): directed to an alternate airfield in Tashkent, landing at 04:11.

Medina — Namangan (FlyOne Asia, flight 7Q4452): landed at Tashkent Metropolitan Airport at 06:05.

According to the company, flight safety is a priority in such situations.

As of now, Namangan Airport is already operating normally. Passengers are advised to check information about departures with airline representatives or airport information desk.
