At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of cooperation development between the states of our region and Germany.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov in his speech focused on topical issues of the Uzbek-German agenda, as well as interaction in the formats "Central Asia - Germany" and "Central Asia - EU".
The Minister noted the fruitful results of the recent visit of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock to Uzbekistan, which became another important stage in further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
As it was emphasized, the parties pay special attention to increasing trade turnover, the number of joint ventures, and attracting German technologies to our economy of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the necessity of holding meetings of the Intergovernmental Working Group on Trade and Investment, Intergovernmental negotiations on financial and technical cooperation, the German-Uzbek Business Council and others on a regular basis was stated.
The importance of implementing the agreements reached during the EU-Central Asia Summit (Astana, October 27), the European Union-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting and the EU-Central Asia International Conference on Interconnectedness: "Global Gateway" for Sustainable Development" (Samarkand, November 17-18) was noted, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
