Socio-economic development of Uzbekistan: results of the first half of 2025

Economic growth

·        Gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 7.2%.

·        The index of the physical volume of industrial production was 106.6%.

·        The volume of construction work increased by 10.7%.

·        The market services sector showed the largest growth – 13.3%.

·        The growth in agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounted to 4%.

Consumption and trade

·        Retail sales increased by 9.7%.

·        Foreign trade turnover increased by 16.1%, while:

-         exports increased by 29.1 %,

-         imports increased by 7%.

Transport and logistics

·        Cargo turnover increased by 1.8 %,

·        Passenger turnover increased by 6%.

Population and entrepreneurship

·        The real total incomes of the population increased by 9.5%.

·        The number of operating enterprises and organizations has reached 462,957 units.

·        The permanent population as of July 1, 2025 was 37.9 million people.
