It was mentioned that the project will be built on an area of 20 hectares in the Surkhandarya section that passes through the Termez district.
As part of the initiative, 42 residential and non-residential facilities will be built, including multi-story buildings (with the first and second floors designated for shops and service centers, and the third to fifth floors for apartments), two hotels with a total capacity of 250 guests, restaurants and cafés, fitness clubs, entertainment venues, and 24-hour tourist streets.
All safety requirements will be met while preserving the river’s natural flow. The riverbanks will be reinforced, and bridges as well as various business and entertainment facilities will also be constructed.
The project will improve the infrastructure and urban appearance of the region, but will also create many occupations and provide residents with well-being and economic stability.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by the mayor (khokim) of the Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Qosimov, together with local elders, activists, representatives of relevant agencies, and members of the public.
At the event, the importance of this project for the region’s socio-economic development and its role in improving the standard of living of the population were particularly emphasized.
