On August 20, a solemn award ceremony was held in New Tashkent.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated those gathered on Entrepreneurs’ Day and the upcoming Independence Day.
“Today, at this event, I am pleased to see leading entrepreneurs – the most progressive representatives of our society. When we began large-scale reforms in this sphere, both economists and entrepreneurs themselves had certain concerns. But we did not stop. We continued to create conditions with faith in success and energy. We made officials listen to entrepreneurs. This bore fruit – trust between the state and business has been strengthened, and society as a whole has become an ally of the entrepreneur”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
It was emphasized that the country’s entrepreneurs, with their new ideas and initiatives, are driving all sectors forward, and that large-scale programs are being implemented together with them.
“We have created conditions for entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurs have become a reliable pillar of the state. Over the past 4-5 years, employment has been provided for 7.5 million people. This year alone, more than 3 million new jobs have been created. Would such results have been possible without improving the investment climate and business environment?” the President emphasized.
Undoubtedly, without the entrepreneurs themselves, this would have been impossible to achieve. Today, they are the driving force of the economy in various sectors, especially in rural areas, ensuring a stable income for the population. The experience of training hundreds of thousands of young people and women, and equipping them with entrepreneurial skills, is also the result of joint efforts with the business community.
“The formation of a new generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders in our country is our great wealth and achievement”, the President said. “After all, each entrepreneur leads dozens of people, teaches them the trade, creates jobs and income, and brings new vitality into the life of society. You can rightfully be called the heroes of New Uzbekistan”.
In line with the tradition established at the initiative of the Head of State, the nation’s best entrepreneurs are awarded high honors each year. This year, special attention was given to selecting nominees who serve as role models for the business community, have achieved concrete results, and make significant contributions to the development of the regions and the country as a whole through production and exports.
At the ceremony, the Head of State solemnly presented the state awards to their recipients.
The laureates expressed their gratitude to the President for his constant support and high appreciation of their work.
The event was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, scholars, and members of the intelligentsia.
