Tajikistan is studying Uzbekistan's experience in environmental expertise

    A delegation of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the State Center for Environmental Expertise under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

    During the visit, the State Center for Environmental Expertise demonstrated the practice of using digital technologies in the environmental impact assessment process. Issues of improving legislation in the field of environmental protection and integrating international experience into national legislation were also discussed.

    In addition, the experience of applying foreign practice and innovative approaches to environmental processes has been studied. Uzbekistan's experience in increasing public participation in environmental processes and taking into account its opinion was presented. At the same time, issues of developing an environmental monitoring system, supporting ecotourism and improving its infrastructure were considered. A presentation on the expansion of cooperation and technologies used in the implementation of joint projects was demonstrated.

    During the visit, agreements were reached on further exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects in the environmental field.

    It should be noted that the visit of the Tajik delegation is carried out in order to study the experience of Uzbekistan in environmental expertise. This will serve to further develop mutual cooperation. The visit will last until August 10.
