The suspect damaged the outer casing of the ATM with a stone but fled the scene after failing to open the internal safe. He was apprehended following operational-search activities.
It was revealed that the ATM safe contained more than 552 million sums at the time of the attack. The damage caused to the device is estimated at 30 million sums.
The suspect has been placed in keeping as a precautionary measure.
