The largest receipts were in July — $1.78 billion, which is 67% more than in July 2023. In December, transfers totaled $1.07 billion, which is 11% more than a year earlier.
The main share was made up of transfers from Russia — 77% ($11.5 billion). Kazakhstan took the second place with $795 million, and the United States took the third place with $577 million. Transfers from the UK (+83%), South Korea (+56%) and EU countries (+32%) increased significantly.
The central bank attributed the increase to the economic development of the sending countries and an increase in the number of migrants from high-income countries. The inflow was also influenced by fluctuations in exchange rates.
More than half of the transfers went through traditional systems — $8.16 billion (+14.4%). $5.91 billion (+50.8%) was transferred through p2p services, which accounted for 40% of the total volume. The flow of SWIFT transfers doubled to $774 million.
In addition, transfers from Uzbekistan to other countries reached $2.8 billion (+19%).
