President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization to be chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport.

It should be noted that special attention is paid to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, bringing multifaceted cooperation to a new level.

Implementation of agreements reached at the highest level is today yielding the expected results. This can be seen in the example of a significant increase in mutual trade turnover between countries. On July 1 this year, the Preferential Trade Agreement entered into force. The number of joint ventures exceeded 2,500.

The following Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization is essential in consistently continuing this interaction on an even broader scale.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Tashkent to attend the ECO Summit to be chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
