For the first time in the history of the European Championships, technology will be used that will track the movements of the ball and facilitate the process of making refereeing decisions using VAR, RIA Novosti reports.
The official Euro 2024 ball was unveiled on Tuesday at a special event in front of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The ball is made in white with wing shapes with triangular patterns of black, yellow, red and green.
The ball is made of more environmentally friendly materials on a biological basis, compared to the previous ones. Each layer of the ball has been adapted to include materials such as corn fiber, sugar cane, wood pulp and rubber.
The European Championship will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. Ten cities will host the tournament.
