According to the amendments to the Law "On Local Government", the heads of the regional health departments and the Main Health Department of Tashkent, according to the results of each half-year, submit to the regional and Tashkent city Councils of People's Deputies, respectively, a report on the implementation of state programs for the development of health care in the territory, the state of disease prevention, the formation of a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition, as well as about the main health indicators.

Based on the results of hearing the reports, the Kengashes of People's deputies assess the effectiveness of their activities and an appropriate decision is made, which is sent to the Ministry of Health.

In addition, the heads of district (city) medical associations, according to the results of each half-year, submit a report, respectively, to the district (city) Kengashes of People's deputies. Following the results of hearing the report by the relevant Kengash of People's Deputies, the decision is sent to the territorial health management bodies.

Also, according to the amendments made to the Law "On Citizens' Self-Government Bodies", the citizens' assembly hears information from the heads of district (city) multidisciplinary central, family polyclinics and family doctors' points, to which the population is attached accordingly.
