During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on how to bring cooperation in the field of railway, aviation and road transport to a new level, accelerate cargo transportation through the territories of both states.
Representatives of both sides highlighted the successes achieved in increasing the volume of trade turnover between our countries. In particular, by the end of 2021, the volume of mutual trade turnover increased by 46% compared to the previous year.
During the meeting, the Pakistani side held a presentation of the capabilities and capacities of the port of Karachi within the framework of the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of international cargo transportation.
Issues related to the implementation of joint projects in the transport and logistics sector were also considered. In particular, further steps to implement the Termez-Mazar-I-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway construction project were discussed.
The proposal of the Uzbek side on the introduction of new routes (air routes) for air traffic services on the territory of the airspace of Pakistan was discussed in detail.
