Uzbekistan delegation holds meetings in Riyadh

    On May 3, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the leadership of the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development, as well as the ​Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.

    The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the countries in labor relations.

    The prospects of opening a Representative Office of the Agency for External Labor Migration of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia were considered to systematize cooperation in labor relations.

    During the talks with the leadership of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, the current state and prospects of cooperation in investment, energy, financial and technical spheres were discussed.

    Prospects for establishing practical cooperation with the Fund for Reconstruction and Development and the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the implementation of joint projects and initiatives were considered.

    According to the leadership of the Saudi Fund, investment in the economy of Uzbekistan is a promising area of ​​cooperation in the light of large-scale socio-economic reforms and measures to improve the investment climate, implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue a substantive dialogue to determine the best options and directions for mutually beneficial cooperation in the investment sphere by holding regular meetings and negotiations with the participation of the Fund’s leadership and heads of Uzbekistan’s key ministries and agencies, inform UzA.
