The meeting
was attended by Holger Kohl, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for
Production Systems and Design Technologies (Fraunhofer IPK), and Mike de Vries,
Chairman of the PROJECHT M Foundation Germany.
During the
negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in
the field of higher education, scientific research, modern production
technologies and innovations, as well as issues related to the implementation
of scientific developments in practice and industrial production.
Representatives
of leading higher educational and research institutions in Uzbekistan also took
part in the event. The meeting participants presented proposals for the
development of applied research, strengthening cooperation between universities
and industrial enterprises, improving technology transfer mechanisms, and
digital transformation of industry.
Kongratbai
Sharipov informed his German colleagues about the reforms being carried out in
Uzbekistan in the fields of higher education, science, and innovation. He
emphasized that increasing research potential, developing ties between
universities and industry, improving technology transfer mechanisms, and
creating a competitive innovation ecosystem are among the priority tasks.
During the
meeting, special attention was paid to programs for the academic and scientific
mobility of young researchers, the implementation of joint scientific and
innovative projects, the digitalization of industry, and the development of
cooperation in the field of water technologies and green energy.
The parties
also considered the prospects for creating modern laboratories and competence
centers based at higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan, implementing
joint initiatives in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence,
commercializing scientific developments, and developing spin‑off companies.
Following
the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further expanding practical
cooperation and implementing joint projects aimed at advancing applied science,
innovation, and modern technologies.
