The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan held a meeting with Kazakhstani entrepreneurs working in this country. The meeting discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects that will contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries, Kazinform news agency reports.
Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, noted that last year a distribution center was opened in Aktau in the neighboring country. Tashkent plans to export agricultural products, including food products, to the Kazakh market through this center. In addition, it is planned to use this hub for temporary storage of Uzbek goods that will be shipped to other countries.
- Also last summer, an intergovernmental commission meeting was held in Kazakhstan. As part of this event, a meeting was organized with the Mayor of Astana, following which a memorandum was signed. According to this document, it is planned to allocate a plot of land in the capital of Kazakhstan for the Uzbek side, and a plot in Tashkent for Kazakhstan. Shopping malls will be built on these lands. This will create opportunities for the sale of Uzbek goods in Astana and Kazakh goods in Tashkent, Dilshod Rasulov said about the plans.
