At a meeting with the Director of the Department of Visa Policy and Affairs of the Consular Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Song Shiyu, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular and legal sphere were discussed, the news agency "Dong" reports.
Issues of China's visa policy, protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the two countries, and expansion of the regulatory framework in the field of relations between Uzbekistan and China were raised.
The Chinese side was provided with detailed information on the favorable conditions created for the development of tourism, entrepreneurship, business and foreign investors in our country in recent years, as well as on the reforms implemented in this area.
It was stressed that the liberalization of the visa regime between Uzbekistan and other countries of the world is considered by our government as a priority issue, and has positive results.
It was noted that one of the priorities of cooperation in the consular and legal sphere for the Uzbek side is the further liberalization of visa procedures with foreign countries, in particular, the achievement of agreements on mutual exemption from visa requirements.
The Chinese side highly appreciated the positive political and economic changes in our country, especially the effective results achieved in recent years in liberalizing the visa regime with the countries of the world, and expressed interest in developing cooperation in this area.
Following the results of the event, the parties agreed to constructively resolve emerging issues in the consular and legal sphere.
