Uzbekistan and Slovenia expand economic cooperation

    Laziz Kudratov, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took part in the meeting of the Uzbek-Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic cooperation, which was held on November 18 in Ljubljana.

    At the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of cooperation in the fields of trade, transport, agriculture, digital transformation, education and other promising areas, confirming their readiness to intensify the bilateral dialogue.

    During the visit, Laziz Kudratov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fayon. Measures to develop cooperation in pharmaceuticals, logistics, and the field of critical minerals, as well as issues related to supporting the entry of Uzbek products into the EU market, were discussed.

    Following the meeting, the Protocol of the commission and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two states were signed.

    During the visit, negotiations were also held with a number of Slovenian companies, which resulted in agreements on the implementation of joint projects in the fields of digitalization, aviation, personnel training, pharmaceuticals, energy and insurance.
