During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of TUM's best practices in the higher education system of Uzbekistan, the development of engineering education, strengthening university ties with industry, commercialization of scientific developments and the formation of a modern startup ecosystem.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in such strategically important areas as water resources management, healthcare, engineering, agricultural technology, information technology and artificial intelligence. The German University is considered as one of the key partners in the transformation of Uzbekistan's universities into modern innovation centers.

Following the negotiations, a number of agreements were reached. In particular, students of the New Uzbekistan University will be given the opportunity to study for one semester at TUM starting in the fall. The parties also intend to launch a joint educational program on aerospace engineering.

In addition, it is planned to use the experience of the German university to develop the startup ecosystem in universities in Uzbekistan, commercialize scientific research and expand cooperation with the industrial sector. Agreements have been reached on the implementation of joint educational and research projects in the fields of engineering, IT, artificial intelligence, agricultural technologies, medical technologies and water resources management.

A separate area of cooperation will be the involvement of TUM as a strategic academic partner in the process of further modernization of Uzbekistan's higher education system.

It is noted that the agreements reached will contribute to the training of competitive specialists of a new generation, the development of an innovative economy and the strengthening of international academic cooperation.
