    The Numbeo portal has published an updated ranking of countries by security level for the first half of 2025. According to the data, Uzbekistan ranked 25th in the world, rising by two positions compared to last year, and became the leader among the countries of Central Asia.

    When compiling the index, such indicators as the crime rate, the feeling of safety in public places and trust in law enforcement agencies were taken into account.

    For comparison:

    Kazakhstan took 73rd place.;

    Kyrgyzstan - 101st;

    Afghanistan - 145th.

    Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are not represented in the current edition of the index.

    According to the rating, Singapore, Kuwait and Taiwan made up the top three. At the same time, Uzbekistan has surpassed a number of developed countries in Europe and Asia in terms of security.

    Experts note that the achieved result has become possible thanks to digital monitoring, preventive measures and reforms in the law enforcement system that have been consistently implemented in the country in recent years.
