The event was attended by representatives of scientific and academic circles of Kazakhstan, compatriots from among the activists of the Karakalpak diaspora, students, as well as employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition presents more than 150 exhibits of the State Museum of History and Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, including both archaeological and ethnographic collections, national costumes and jewelry, demonstrating not only the history, but also the way of life, traditional culture of the Karakalpak people.
Director of the State Museum of History and Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Aijamal Yusupova spoke about the ongoing work to popularize the museum collection, the attention paid by the Government of Uzbekistan to strengthen the material and technical base of the museum, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.
The exhibition will continue its work until October 6.
