20 memorandums of understanding and cooperation were signed in Brussels between universities of Uzbekistan and the Belgian Educational Council

    The presentations of Uzbek universities presented at the Embassy of our country in Brussels attracted the attention of the European media.

    In particular, the European portal "EU Today", specializing in the coverage of events taking place in the EU, informed about the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between universities of Uzbekistan and the Education Council of Belgium, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

    The document was signed by universities of Uzbekistan in order to launch and develop joint activities and identify projects of mutual cooperation.

    It is reported that on behalf of the Belgian Council for Education, the signature was put by its director Aksana Pozdnyakova. Chris Kendall, an employee of the Central Asia Department of the European External Action Service responsible for relations with Uzbekistan, was also present at the signing.

    The memorandum includes the organization of professional videoconferences, training programs and educational exchanges of professors, exchange of master's degree students for training, long-term and short-term internships, educational and scientific practices and trainings, professional practices both abroad and in Belgium.

    The memorandum was signed by Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Urgench State University, Andijan Machine-Building Institute, Namangan Institute of Civil Engineering, Mamun University, Ranch Technological University in Urgench, Alfraganus University, Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute, Karshi Institute of Engineering and Economics, Bukhara State Medical Institute, Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent (MDIST), Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, The Institute of Retraining of Teaching Staff and Improving their Qualifications at the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture, the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, the Bukhara State Medical University named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, the University of Digital Economy and Agrotechnologies and the International University of Chemistry in Tashkent.

    Kazakhstan also paid attention to the trip of representatives of universities of Uzbekistan to Brussels. The international news agency "Kazinform" also reported that a delegation of heads of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan within the framework of the educational program of the Belgian Educational Council was in Brussels on a visit from November 19 to 25.

    On November 22, a presentation was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium on the prospects for the development of cooperation between the country's universities with European companies and universities, as well as the expansion of their ties with the EU in the field of innovative education.

    Representatives of European institutions were informed about the opportunities and prospects for the development of universities in Uzbekistan, their plans to establish partnerships with leading universities in Europe and EU institutions.

    As a result of the event, 20 memoranda of understanding and cooperation were signed between universities of Uzbekistan and the Belgian Educational Council. They provide for the intensification of cooperation in the organization of professional videoconferences, training programs and academic exchanges, educational and scientific internships, training of highly qualified pedagogical and scientific personnel and specialists of Uzbekistan, as well as in the field of online education.
