Reconstruction of the arrival hall has begun at Tashkent International Airport

    The next stage of construction and installation works within the framework of the reconstruction of the air harbor starts at Tashkent International Airport. So, this week, work has begun on the expansion of the arrival hall.

    According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports, in this regard, the exit to the left of the terminal will be blocked. Now arrivals will leave the building directly. A temporary shelter will be built to ensure safety during construction work. The meeting area will function as usual.

    According to the project, the area of the arrival terminal will increase by 2500 sq. m. m by pushing the facade of the building forward. At the moment, the area of the existing arrival hall is 5,300 sq. m. At this stage, it is also planned to install two more baggage carousels and create a spacious area for greeters inside the terminal.

    The work is scheduled to be completed in May 2025, after which the final stage of reconstruction will begin, which involves the unification of departure and arrival terminals. This will create a large unified airport complex with a capacity of 2,400 passengers per hour.
