According
to preliminary data, the incident occurred on July 19 at about 21:20 on the
territory of the CNG station located in the Beruniy mahalla on Abu Rayhan
Beruni Street in the Uychinsky district.
During the
inspection, it was established that the cause of the incident was the refueling
of a car with methane, the gas cylinder equipment of which was designed to use
propane fuel. As a result, a gas cylinder exploded, causing the car to suffer
technical damage.
At the same
time, there are no casualties among citizens - no cases of bodily injury have
been registered.
According
to the requirements approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the
Republic of Uzbekistan No. 315 dated June 18, 2026, vehicles must be refueled
at automotive gas filling compressor stations only with fuel corresponding to
the type of installed gas cylinder equipment. Before refueling, the technical
condition of the equipment and its suitability for operation should also be
checked.
The
Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety urges vehicle owners and
employees of gas filling stations to strictly comply with industrial safety
requirements.
Compliance
with safety regulations is one of the main conditions for preventing accidents
and accidents.
