A new Uzbek ambassador has arrived in Pakistan

    The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev has arrived in the capital of Pakistan.

    Prior to his appointment, he worked as an adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    After graduating from Tashkent State Law Institute (now Tashkent State Law University) He worked in various responsible positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the head of our state, and the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan.

    The newly appointed ambassador also worked for the Association of Cotton and Textile Clusters of Uzbekistan, first as an adviser and then as a deputy chairman.

    Speaks English and a number of other foreign languages.

    Alisher Tukhtaev replaced Oybek Usmanov, who worked as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan in 2021-2024.
