Last year, 248 people died as a result of workplace accidents

According to the State Labor Inspectorate, 849 labor-related accidents were recorded in the republic in 2025.

Of these, 50 were group accidents, 583 were with serious consequences, and 216 were fatal.

As a result of such workplace accidents, 961 people were injured: 680 were seriously injured, 33 were slightly injured, and 248 people died.

Over the past year, the most accidents occurred in the construction sector (234), light industry (47) and transport (37).

By region, the majority of accidents were recorded in Tashkent (153), Tashkent and Andijan (75 each) regions, the least in Khorezm and Surkhandarya (16 each) regions.

Criminal cases have been initiated against 432 officials for violating labor legislation, which has led to serious consequences. 241 officials were brought to administrative responsibility.
