During the conversation, issues of developing friendly relations, multifaceted cooperation and inter-parliamentary ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia were discussed.
The importance of strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, regular dialogue and exchange of experience in the field of legislation was emphasized.
Proposals were made to intensify the dialogue between interparliamentary friendship groups and hold regular meetings, establish cooperation to strengthen effective parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements reached between the heads of state and Government, and hold regular dialogues and meetings.
It was emphasized that the peoples of the two countries have long-standing ties based on common history, religion, traditions and values. It was noted that the open and constructive dialogue between the heads of state serves as a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
Issues related to the expansion of trade, economic and investment ties, the implementation of joint projects in education, tourism and other areas were also discussed. Proposals have been put forward to launch joint programs with leading educational institutions in Malaysia and to organize educational forums.
The cooperation in the field of Islamic and cultural studies was positively assessed, in particular, the relations of the Center for Islamic Civilization and the International Islamic Academy with scientific institutions in Malaysia. The importance of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan held in Malaysia was particularly noted.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to further develop inter-parliamentary relations.
