The investment potential of Uzbekistan has been presented in the Austrian capital

    As part of the visit of the working group headed by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, a presentation of the investment potential of our country was held in the Austrian capital.

    The purpose of the event was to attract new Austrian companies to implement joint projects in various sectors of the economy, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    The presentation, which took place in the building of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, was attended by the heads of leading Austrian companies specializing in mining and geology, energy, agriculture, chemical industry and other fields.

    The participants were informed in detail about the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country, the favorable conditions created for foreign investors, and the advantages of doing business. The Austrian business community got acquainted with the current situation in priority sectors with great interest and offered to establish a long-term partnership.

    The heads of the Association of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy and the Austrian Economic Cooperation Agency provided information on the possibilities of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Austrian companies.

    As a result of the business dialogue, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria, which provides for the creation of a joint working group to coordinate the implementation of investment projects.

    An agreement was also reached on the organization of an Austrian business mission to Uzbekistan by the end of this year in order to work out new initiatives.

    Prospects for the implementation of industrial projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Austrian companies were discussed with Patricia Neumann, Vice President of the Association of Industrialists of Austria, who is also Executive Director of Siemens Austria.

    It is worth noting that the Association of Industrialists of Austria was founded in 1862 and promotes the interests of Austrian industry. Today it has more than 5 thousand members.

    In conclusion, the issues of financing joint projects were discussed with Gerhard Kinzelberger, Senior Director of the Austrian Control Bank (OeKB). During the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain regular contacts through the exchange of visits.
