44 Uzbek citizens who were illegally in the United States were returned to their homeland on this flight.
"The charter flight was organized in cooperation with the relevant U.S. government agencies, which made it possible to ensure the safe and timely return of Uzbek citizens to the country," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Akhror Burkhanov.
He stressed that this event is another important example of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.
The work on ensuring the safety of compatriots abroad, protecting their legal rights and returning to their homeland continues.
