The International exhibition "UZstore" has started in Tashkent

    In order to develop trade, economic and investment relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China, the Tashkent INDEX will host the International Exhibition "UZstore" from October 25 to 27.

    The event is held with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    The event is attended by more than 70 companies from the People's Republic of China and many specialists in the field of construction, machinery and equipment, energy, as well as representatives of various business sectors, large Uzbek and foreign companies.

    According to the organizers, the task of the exhibition is to reveal the potential of the sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan and industrial cooperation of the regions of the two countries. Right on its margins, entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and China will be able to establish new contacts and discuss practical details of further cooperation.

    The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate new technologies of entrepreneurs and manufacturers, which allows them to make themselves known not only in the Uzbek market, but also in the foreign market.

    It is worth noting the consistent growth dynamics of trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries. By the end of 2022, the trade turnover increased by 20% and reached a record $ 9 billion. At the same time, the Heads of the two countries have set a specific goal - to bring the figure to $ 10 billion this year, which can be achieved by joint efforts and coordinated actions.

    Stable growth is also observed in the investment sector. The total volume of mastered Chinese investments has increased 5 times since 2017 and amounted to $ 11 billion. In 2022 alone, $2.2 billion of Chinese investments were disbursed. The number of joint ventures in Uzbekistan has increased 3 times over the past 5 years (1,763 joint ventures/sole proprietors), the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.
