"The Tashkent City Commission on naming and renaming geographical objects is systematically working to eliminate shortcomings related to the names of objects that do not meet the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the names of geographical objects," the press service of the capital's Khokimiyat (administration) said.
It is clarified that the names of a number of toponyms in the Bektemir, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Mirabad, Sergeli, Chilanzar, Shaikhantakhur, Yakkasaray and Yashnabad districts of the capital were brought into compliance with the requirements of the legislation.
