The previous
record was set on September 14, 2026, when the subway carried 1,165,550
passengers. The new figure was higher by 16,031 passengers.
The demand
for public transport, in particular for metro services, continues to grow. Due
to the increase in passenger traffic, measures are being taken to improve the
quality and convenience of service, as well as the organization of train
traffic, taking into account the load.
According
to the monitoring and analysis of passenger traffic, the growth trend
continues. It is expected that in October the number of passengers transported
by the subway per day will reach 1.2 million people.
In this
regard, as previously reported, it is planned to identify the 1,200,000th
passenger in the Tashkent metro and give him a special gift or provide a
special benefit.
In
addition, the entire rolling stock of 14 modern trains planned for 2026 has
already been transferred to the Tashkent Metro fleet. The new trains are used
to improve the comfort and quality of passenger service.
The increase
in passenger traffic indicates an increased role of the Tashkent Metro in the
capital's public transport system.
