The largest part of the devices came from China - 3.4 million units. Vietnam took the second place with 589.4 thousand phones, and India - the third, delivering 113.6 thousand. 46.1 thousand phones from Hong Kong were also imported into the country, and 5.4 thousand from other countries.
From January to November 2023, 3.8 million mobile phones worth $346.5 million were imported to Uzbekistan, indicating an increase in imports in 2024.
Earlier it was reported that when importing phones into the territory of Uzbekistan, a customs declaration is required. If the device is not registered in the UZIMEI system, a fee of 30% of the cost will be charged. Only after paying for it can the device be used in the country.
