During the
operational measures, it was established that a resident of Shakhrisabz, born
in 1985, organized a greenhouse with an area of 5.3 acres on the territory of
his household, where he illegally grew narcotic plants. During the inspection,
714 cannabis bushes were found, which, according to the investigation, were
intended for subsequent sale.
According
to the expert opinion, the net weight of the seized plants was 201 kilograms.
During
another special operation, employees of the State Security Service, together
with customs authorities, detained in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent a previously
convicted resident of the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region, born in 1966.
During the
search, 1 kilogram of 994 grams of hashish was found in a plastic bag on the
man, which was seized as evidence. According to law enforcement agencies, the
narcotic drug was smuggled from a neighboring state, and the detainee planned
to sell it on the territory of the capital.
Criminal
cases have been initiated on both facts. Investigative actions are currently
underway.
