Blackberry is a plant from the raspberry family. In Uzbekistan, it grows along the banks of rivers and ditches. It is rarely found in a cultural form. Blackberry fruit is rich in vitamins: carotenoid, folic acid (vitamin B9), vitamin C, vitamin K and a small amount of vitamin E. In addition, blackberries contain minerals – potassium, copper, calcium, magnesium and zinc.
Blackberries do not give root stepsons, and its branches along the ground take root from links or ends and form new shoots. High-yielding varieties of blackberries with large fruits were bred by I. V. Michurin. These varieties are grown in gardens created by amateur gardeners, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
