A greenhouse hybrid of melon "Zarkhal" was brought out in Uzbekistan

    Scientists-breeders of the Research Institute of Vegetable and Potato Crops under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan have invented a new variety of melon. This hybrid, called "Zarkhal", is grown only in a greenhouse.

    The variety "Zarkhal" belongs to the category of very early-ripening varieties of melons. The vegetation period of plants is 72-78 days; the variety is characterized by abundant fruiting. Yield 8-8.5 kg/sq.m.

    The melons themselves are spherical, medium-sized, weighing only 0.8-1.5 kg. The peel of the fruit is smooth, yellow with green stripes, the melons are hollow from the inside and very fragrant. The dry matter content in fruits is 13.5-14.5%, and sugar is 12-13%.

    According to experts, this variety is resistant to powdery mildew and fusarium wilt.
