The Association "Uzcharmsanoat" held a meeting with entrepreneurs and representatives of the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Development in the format of a videoconference, at which modern challenges to slaughter enterprises were discussed. At the last meeting, in the spirit of critical analysis, they talked about the problems that stand in the way of further development of the industry and their solutions.

Today there are 89 slaughterhouses in the country, the President's Decree sets the task of building 203 automated slaughterhouses in every district and city of the country.

Also, according to the "Program of targeted projects", work is underway to create 108 compact mobile services for the slaughter and collection of raw hides of cattle in densely populated mahallas in the context of each district.

This direction is developing, but at the same time, shortcomings and omissions are still noticeable. They were discussed at the meeting with the entrepreneurs themselves. Various cases were considered: the heads of slaughter enterprises, more than 60 of them participated in the meeting in an online format, could share their experience and ask questions to responsible structures.

Special attention was paid to such problematic topics as the creation of artificial barriers by regulatory authorities and the difficulty of attracting shepherds and farmers to slaughterhouses.

Another issue of concern to business entities in this area is analyzed in detail - the sale of meat products. Entrepreneurs will be assisted in opening retail outlets where they will be able to sell meat "at first hand".

Solutions were proposed on a number of issues on the spot, and those that need a more detailed approach were included in the minutes of the meeting.
