Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador of Singapore

    On August 8, 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to our country (with residence in Singapore) Zulkifli bin Baharudin.

    The diplomat gave a positive assessment of the progress of reforms in Uzbekistan and the progress achieved by our country in all spheres of life of the state and society.

    During the conversation, topical aspects of Uzbek-Singaporean relations in various fields were discussed.

    Attention was focused on the need for comprehensive realization of the potential of bilateral cooperation, including through the activation of contacts through the organization of mutual visits, holding inter-ministerial consultations, expanding the legal framework, as well as coordination of efforts within international organizations.

    An exchange of views took place on the schedule of planned events at various levels and formats.

    In order to stimulate economic diplomacy, the sides noted the importance of establishing direct contacts between business circles, organizing business forums, exchanging experience on the development of e-commerce, "green economy", implementing projects in the fields of education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, etc.

    Following the meeting, held in a friendly and trusting atmosphere, an agreement was reached to continue joint efforts to build ties in all areas for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
