Within the framework of the business forum, the French side was informed in detail about the macroeconomic indicators of Uzbekistan, the opportunities and conditions created in the republic for foreign investors, including tax and customs benefits and others.
Jean-Luc Kevon, Chairman of the Saon Do Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that the event is the beginning of a long-term partnership between representatives of the business circles of the two countries. In his opinion, the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region has a great potential for mutually beneficial partnership with Uzbekistan.
At the same time, representatives of the Embassy took part in the opening of the 28th International Festival of Asian Cinema (FICA) in the city of Vesoul, located in the Franche-Comté region. This festival has been held since 1995 and on average it is attended by about 30 thousand spectators who can watch more than 70 films within the framework of the festival program, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.
Within the framework of FICA, it is planned to hold Film Days of Central Asian countries under the name "Silk Road". It will show the following films shot in different years by directors from Uzbekistan and France: "2000 songs of Farida" (Yalkin Tuychiev), "Tashkent is a city of bread" (Shukhrat Abbasov), "Lovers" (Eliyor Ishmukhamedov) and "My Uzbek Dream" (Arno Frillier). In addition, the film "2000 songs of Farida" is submitted to the main competition of the festival.
As part of the visit to the city of Vesul, a meeting was held with its mayor, during which prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed.
