The event was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov, Head of the European and International Department of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Manuel Boire, heads of more than 30 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and France, as well as leading experts in the field of science and education.

The main purpose of the event was to develop mutual relations between the states, especially in the scientific, technical and educational fields.

Within the framework of the conference, more than 20 interuniversity agreements were signed on the introduction of joint educational programs, advanced training of teachers and expansion of student exchange.

An international conference aimed at strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the field of education, science and innovation was held at the InterContinental Paris - Le Grand Hotel in Paris.

The event was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by leading experts, rectors, researchers and representatives of prestigious universities of the two countries.

After the screening of a video about the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the plenary session began.

The official opening of the conference was held by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov and the head of the European and International Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of France, Manuel Boire.

- Uzbekistan and France plan to implement a number of significant initiatives to expand cooperation in the field of higher education, science and innovation, - K. Sharipov noted. - In particular, it is planned to implement exchange programs for 182 students, internship for 36 teachers, professional development for 108 specialists, as well as the implementation of 10 joint research projects.

In the second part of the event, sessions were held in three areas:

·        The Uzbek-French University session is a discussion of strategic prospects for educational and cultural cooperation between universities of Uzbekistan and France.

·        session "Scientific and technical cooperation" - prospects for cooperation in the field of innovative education, social sciences and humanities, as well as energy.

·        session "Cultural Heritage and Tourism" - cooperation between France and Uzbekistan in the field of fashion industry, preservation and development of historical heritage.

At the end of the conference, a national costume show entitled "Uzbek fashion: traditions and peaks of inspiration" was held.

This international conference has laid a solid foundation for the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the fields of education, science and culture.
