The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has asked school graduates who have reached the age of 16 to receive a passport (ID card) in a timely manner.

As you know, in order to submit the relevant documents for admission to higher education institutions online, it is required to enter the passport (ID-cards) data of graduates into the electronic program ABITUR.

"In this regard, we remind you that every graduate who has reached the age of 16 must receive a passport (ID card) in a timely manner," the press service of the ministry reports.

For the convenience of graduates in this process, the electronic database of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education is integrated with the electronic program of the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Skills ABITUR.

To date, 129 thousand (33%) of more than 390 thousand graduates who have reached the age of 16 have not yet received passports (ID cards), as a result of which their information has not yet been included in the electronic database.

"Dear parents, using the constitutional right of your child, we ask you to ensure that your children who have reached the age of 16 receive an ID card in a timely manner, and school administrations should enter the data of graduates into an electronic database. To obtain a passport, you need to contact the migration and citizenship departments of the territorial bodies of internal affairs," the ministry added.
