In order to develop cooperation with Japan in the trade and economic sphere, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo visited Ishikawa Prefecture and held talks with Hisahide Ogura, President of Ogura Fabrics.

Ogura Fabrics is a company specialized in the production of silk products, started its activity in 1895. The company's products were used by a number of well-known brands such as "North Pace" several times as a gift by the imperial family of Japan, as well as in the manufacture of special souvenir products - scarves for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Currently, the company produces fabrics not only from silk, but also from synthetic and chemical fibers.

Hisahide Ogura noted that his company owns advanced technologies and manufactures high-quality and competitive silk and synthetic products. In this regard, he expressed interest in establishing cooperation with foreign silk production companies, including Uzbekistan.

At the same time, he said that there is a shortage of specialists in the production of silk products in Japan, in particular, most of the employees of his company are elderly people who have been working for many years. In this regard, he asked for practical help in attracting young cadres from Uzbekistan, the Dunyo news agency reports.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold online negotiations in the near future in order to discuss issues of establishing cooperation with relevant companies in Uzbekistan.
