    According to the State Statistics Committee, the permanent population of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of July 1, 2022 amounted to 35,603.4 thousand people, having increased by 332.1 thousand people since the beginning of this year.

    Permanent population by region:

    • Republic of Karakalpakstan - 1962.4 thousand people;
    • Andijan region - 3283.8 thousand people;
    • Bukhara region - 1990.4 thousand people;
    • Jizzakh region - 1457.7 thousand people;
    • Kashkadarya region - 3438.6 thousand people;
    • Navoi region - 1044.0 thousand people;
    • Namangan region - 2959.3 thousand people;
    • Samarkand region - 4069.3 thousand people;
    • Surkhandarya region - 2771.1 thousand people;
    • Syrdarya region - 887.1 thousand people;
    • Tashkent region* - 2962.5 thousand people;
    • Ferghana region - 3931.1 thousand people;
    • Khorezm region - 1936.6 thousand people;
    • Tashkent city* - 2909.5 thousand people.
