Container transportation has been launched on a new multimodal route connecting India and Uzbekistan

    Uztemiryulcontainer JSC has successfully organized a new multimodal route for container transportation from the Indian ports of Mundra, Nhava Sheva and Chennai to Uzbekistan.

    The goods were delivered by sea from India to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, and then by rail to Sergeli station.

    The containers are first transported from the port of Bandar Abbas to the Serakhs station on Iranian platforms, after which they are reloaded onto the platforms of JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" and sent to Uzbekistan via Turkmenistan.

    The first freight train, consisting of 20 containers of 20 feet each, covered 2,673 km in 20 days. In the future, it is planned to reduce the delivery time to 15 days.
