In the 3rd round of Group G, our representatives took to the field against
the Hong Kong national team. The uncompromising match ended in a 2:1 victory
for Uzbekistan.
In the 34th minute, Diyora Khabibullayeva opened the scoring, putting our
team ahead. In the 64th minute of the second half, Lan Wai scored the equalizer
for the Hong Kong national team.
The fate of the match was decided in added time. In the 90+2nd minute,
Maftuna Shoyimova accurately converted a penalty kick, scoring the winning goal
for Uzbekistan.
Following the end of the group stage, China took first place with 7 points.
Uzbekistan took second place with 5 points and advanced to the playoffs. The
Philippines took third place with 4 points, and Hong Kong, having failed to
accumulate any points, remained in fourth place.
