The forum
is being organized in cooperation with the Center of Islamic Civilization in
Uzbekistan, the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Imam Bukhari, Imam
Maturidi, and Imam Termizi international research centers, the Muslim Board of
Uzbekistan, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, and the Islamic
Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
About 300
foreign guests from more than 50 countries — state and public figures,
ministers, muftis, academicians, Islamic scholars, heads of museums and
libraries, representatives of international organizations and mass media — are
expected to participate in the conference.
During the
forum, topics such as the contribution of Islamic civilization to the
development of world science, education, culture, and spiritual heritage,
inter-civilizational dialogue, religious tolerance, cultural diplomacy,
preservation, and digitalization of manuscripts will be discussed.
The
program includes 4 international conferences, 10 plenary sessions, 15 plenary
meetings, and 6 sectoral division meetings. Also, book presentations,
exhibitions of manuscripts and Islamic art, international meetings, and
ceremonies for signing memorandums of cooperation are planned to be held.
An
international conference dedicated to Imam Bukhari's work "Al-Jami'
as-Sahih" will be held in Samarkand, and a conference dedicated to the
scientific heritage of Imam Termizi will take place in Termez. Also, scientific
discussions dedicated to the teachings of Imam Maturidi will be organized.
Within the
framework of the forum, participants will visit the Center of Islamic
Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari memorial complex, and other
historical and educational sites.
According
to the organizers, this forum will serve to promote the scientific and
educational heritage of Islamic civilization of Uzbekistan on an international
scale, expand scientific cooperation, and strengthen intercultural dialogue.
