The
negotiations took place at the airline's head office, where the parties
discussed the current state and prospects for the development of air services
between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Particular
attention was paid to the launch of scheduled Etihad Airways flights and the
gradual expansion of the airline's route network. Following the meeting, an
agreement was reached to operate regular flights on the Tashkent - Abu
Dhabi-Tashkent route starting on August 17.
The
resumption of direct flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and the UAE
will allow passengers to take advantage of Etihad Airways' wide route network
and fly to more than 70 international destinations to Europe, Asia, Australia,
Africa and North America with convenient connections via Abu Dhabi.
Following
the talks, the parties expressed interest in further developing bilateral
cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
